New Year, New Beginnings
As we roll into the new year, there's a certain excitement in the air — especially as we experience that slight warm-up here in the North Country. We've been fortunate enough to enjoy a couple of days with temperatures creeping above freezing, but let’s be real: it’s hard to believe this will last. The chill of minus twenties is creeping back into our forecast, reminding us that winter still has a few tricks up its sleeve.
Woodworking Dreams Unfold
In spite of the lingering cold, I've been making some progress on a little personal project. I’ve started unpacking my tools and setting up a small woodworking area. It’s just a makeshift space for now, but it’s amazing how invigorating it feels to create something with your own hands. I'm eager to see what I can accomplish in the weeks to come!
Spring Adventures Await
With spring just around the corner, there’s another reason to look forward to the thaw: getting our trusty RV, "Alice", out of hibernation. We’re super excited to get her inspected, ensure she’s ready for the road, and embark on new adventures this summer. Our plans include a trip to Jasper, AB, if we can manage to secure a spot, followed by some downtime around Calgary. Traveling the open roads is something we both cherish, and I can just picture the beautiful landscapes waiting for us.
Even before that summer excitement, weather permitting, we hope to take the motorcycle out for a couple of weeks to really embrace the freedom of the roads. There's just something about riding that breathes fresh life into our spirits, and I'm counting down the days until we can hit the pavement again.
The shifting seasons remind us of the beauty of change—something we can all embrace this new year. So whether you're making resolutions or simply soaking in the warmth of the sun as it starts to peek through, let’s welcome the transition with open arms. Here's to building, exploring, and making the most of this year!
